摘要

The development of a smart and automated irrigation system has been reported in this paper. The system is developed using Raspberry Pi 3b+model and it integrates multiple sensors such as resistive soil moisture sensor, temperature and humidity sensor along with a water sprinkler unit. Daily life application is the motivation behind the present work. So a smart and automated irrigation system is designed here which is capable of automatically turning on or off the motor depending on certain parameters such as soil moisture content, environmental temperature, and humidity. To make it a low cost system, an Arduino board is used here in serial mode to interface the soil moisture sensor instead of A/D converter unit. An observation table is presented for different soil condition testing.
