Many of diseases could cause changes in the blood flow. In the mechanical wave field, the blood flow contrast could be enhanced for evaluating the pathology of tissue . Diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) is an emerging technology to extract the blood flow index (BFI) in biological tissues. Previously, we proposed an innovative Nth-linear algorithm for extracting the BFI of heterogeneous tissue with arbitrarily geometry. In this study, we combined the technology of Ultrasound modulation and DCS?aiming to manipulate and quantify the BFI changes under the ultrasonic wave. The results derived from phantom experiment shows that the BFI substantially elevates when subject to ultrasound waves. Additionally, in the ultrasonic standing wave field, the autocorrelation function curve of DCS oscillates in sine manner which reflects the frequency characteristic of ultrasound. The research provide a new direction to enhance and quantify the BFI with the presence of ultrasound.
