This article presents a study of viscosity which was conducted on the Rheotest 2 rheometer located at the laboratory of the Department of Moulding Materials, Moulding Technology and Cast Non-ferrous Metals at the Faculty of Foundry Engineering in Krakow. Measurements were taken of water- and alcohol-based protective coatings both in the initial form and after the addition of appropriate amounts of diluents in the form of water or ROKAfenol. During the study, flow curves were determined, and the impact of modification of the diluent on the viscosity of selected coatings was studied.
