The dual motor cross-coupling drive control system based on EtherCAT is implemented on the basis of single motor drive control. The experimental analysis of single motor drive control and dual motor drive control is carried out, which clarifies the advantages of dual motor drive control. The resulting performance could be improved in the big telescope as the stiffness of the elevation axis of the big telescope is worse. Furthermore, PI controller gains and relevant command signal selected empirically should be decided with some techniques.
