Current group dynamics and cognitive-developmental theories highlight the significance of active participation in the learning environment. Whereas on-going learning practices suggest that for creating a better learning environment, the most important step is to construct learning as an active and joint process carried under safe circumstances. Specifically, psychological safety plays a crucial role in activating knowledge and learning within organizations at both individual and group levels. This research has measured the relationship between psychological safety, facilitation, and teamwork results such as the team’s performance across an educational environment. A closed-ended questionnaire has been used to collect the data. The sample size is ninety students who participated in an organized workshop. The statistical tool SPSS version 12 (Mann-Whitney U-test) is used to examine the data and interpret the results. Based on the outcomes, psychological safety and facilitation approach in combination are proposed to enrich the teamwork efficiency in an academic sector.
