ESTABLISHING A CRM DISTRIBUTION CENTER AT Y-12: ENSURING A SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY OF NUCLEAR REFERENCE MATERIAL

With the reorganization of New Brunswick Laboratory, the nation's primary supplier of nuclear reference materials, the former facility housing the inventory is in the process of being cleaned out. An alternative site to serve as the storage and distribution center of these vital materials has been selected and is in development in cooperation with CNS at the Y12 site. The new facility will ensure the supply of nuclear reference materials for analytical reference purposes. This paper will discuss the development and status of the new storage and distribution facility, with stand-up planned for Fall 2017.
