Sensemaking, the ability to make sense of what is going on in a changing and complex environment, is a particularly important characteristic in organizations where innovation is critical. The level of innovation capability within organizations is connected to the ability of making the right sense of collective experiences, especially in uncertain or ambiguous moments. Sensemaking is the process through which information and ideas come together in a meaningful way, giving one insight into novel concepts and approaches to business.
