A new non-fragile robust control strategy has been developed for tracking and controlling attitude angles of high-speed reentry vehicle. Non-matching uncertainties of affine nonlinear system are studied. The key feature is the use of non-fragile guaranteed cost control method to get pseudo linear control gains from Linear Matrix inequality (LMI) optimization feasible solution. Another key element is to use single hidden layer neural networks (SHLNN) to counteract the influence of conservative control gains brought by uncertainties. Numerical simulation results show improved tracking performance of attitude angles, which demonstrate robustness of the new approach.
