摘要

Multi-layer nano-structured emitters of a new type, providing field emission from the contact of materials with different work function were investigated. The effect of the number of pairs of layers with different work function, their thickness and the influence of contacted materials work function difference on the emission characteristics of layered cathode were determined in numerical calculations. New experimental data were obtained on the emission characteristics of the cathodes prepared from contacted layers of hafnium and platinum.
