摘要

In the process of urban motorization, due to scarce urban resources and limited environmental supporting capacity, most cities can only pursue intensive development instead of excessive development of sedan cars. As a result, major cities around the world have adopted various means to control the total quantity of motor vehicles so as to control the growth and use of motor vehicles, for the purpose of promoting the healthy development of urban motorization. This article has carefully analyzed implementation of Beijing's quantity control policies on motor vehicles, systematically summarized experience of foreign and domestic cities in formulating such control policies, and put forward a direction for the development of Beijing's quantity control policies on motor vehicles.
