Mobile device aided teaching and learning of electromagnetic polarization

摘要

This paper presents mobile device aided teaching and learning of electromagnetics on the topic of wave polarization. We leverage on the affor dances of mobile devices such as smartphones and pads that are widely available and capitalize on their touch-based interactivity to aid teaching and learning. The educational aspects of the app are described in detail. In particular, the teaching and learning aspects of the app and how the instructor and students can make good use of it for their teaching and learning purposes are highlighted. Feedback data gathered from the students is also presented to gauge their response towards the app.
