Video games are also dabbling into many different areas, such as training, education, and health. This multimillionaire industry is pushing the development of new technologies, and at the same time, is taking advantage of them. In a game, the player pretends a reality, and this pretended reality is increasingly becoming an immersive experience in video games, due to those new technologies. This paper discusses the implications in the use of cutting-edge technologies in video games aimed to enhance the player experience by getting more believable gaming situations and placing the player in the center of the game.
