A Preliminary Study on the Theory of Campus Planning in Metropolitan Universities in the Rapid Urbanization

Based on the research of campus planning theory of metropolitan university, this paper studies the intrinsic relationship between the process of urbanization and the development of metropolitan university, the way of urbanization to influence the university campus, the extent to which the evolution of the university campus, in turn, the promotion of urbanization. With reference to the experience of the United States, to demonstrate the current degree of conditions in China's metropolitan universities. This paper reviews the history of its campus planning, sort out the elements of its planning, analyzes the characteristics of its planning, sums up its planning strategy, and makes a forward-looking forecast of the new model of Chinese university campus planning under the background of rapid urbanization.
