This invention presents process of techno-economic feasibility to adopt islanding operation of Rajasthan Technical University Campus located in Kota. Proposed system configuration reduces battery requirement and assures fossil fuel free power security in low wind regions of central part of Rajasthan (a north-east Indian state) having enormous potential of solar PV generation. Obtained results have proved that installation of wind turbines accounts to installation cost optimization and reduction in net unit energy cost in the proposed region. Setting a path of pollution free energy future, the present invention presents a hybrid wind-PV-battery based micro-grid in standalone mode for low wind region having potential solar PV generation for meeting energy demand. Results have been keenly calculated by different feasibility softwares for obtaining optimal system configuration with cent percent renewable fraction. For considered lifetime of involved conversion components, obtained energy cost has been found competitive with grid connected system, grid-diesel system and diesel generators
