摘要

Energy behaviors are closely linked to the reliability of converters. However, there is not a scientific methodology to describe the energy characterization inside converters intuitionally. In this paper, energy flow in some basic units of converters is modeled based on the electromagnetic theory and the circuit theory. At this basis, a novel energy topology is investigated. Compared with the common circuit topology, its advantages lie in presenting spatial characterization of energy propagation and distribution. Furthermore, scientific visualization is applied to show the time characterization of energy flow. Last but not least, the energy propagation for operating converters is presented clearly in several case-studies.
