The contact jet-film device was designed to improve the efficiency of heat and mass transfer devices. The advantage of this device is low hydraulic resistance, high mass-transfer efficiency with relatively low energy demands, as well as soiling resistance, efficient operation at low liquid loads. The results of the analytical studies of the device are presented, and the criterion equation of heat transfer was obtained. The liquid level significantly affects the heat exchange intensity. The maximum values of heat transfer coefficients are observed when the downcomers are completely filled. This is due to the lack of air flow expansion and results in a greater flow rate of air relative to the walls.
