Development of the Internally Cutting Milling Cutter Model with Radial Advance for Treatment of Profiling Rolls

Demountable joints for torque transmission are some of the most important of the machine elements. High requirements on fatigue value, life time, etc. are made for them. In this paper we discuss the method of profiling rolls treatment with the application of the internally cutting milling cutter with radial advance. We have solved the task of modeling for the front and back surfaces of the cutter knives with the aid of the surface shaping geometrical theory. On the basis of the developed models it is possible to develop the cutting process model and calculate the evaluative parameters. This may lead to increasing of effectiveness of the design process for this cutters type.
