This paper describes an approach to applying the JSM method for automatic recognition of collision situations when working with collaborative robots. The approach uses the description of situations in the form of a set of primitives that determine the position of a person in the work space and allow you to distinguish a person from surrounding objects. An intelligent JSM system requires training that can be realized in real time. In the course of experiments, the efficiency of the proposed approach was confirmed and estimates of the collision detection time were made.
