The joined-wing is considered to be a potential configuration because of its low induced drag, light structure, and direct force control. A configuration optimization design method for a high-altitude joined-wing aircraft is proposed for simultaneous considerations of the features of the joined-wing configuration. The purpose is to provide a more reasonable method for the optimization design of the shape parameters of joined-wing aircraft. The shape optimization design model consists of a shape parameterized model, aerodynamic analysis model, and genetic algorithm optimization process. Through comparative analysis before and after optimization, the lift-to-drag ratio of the whole machine after optimization increased by 14.6%. Moreover, detailed sensitivity analysis was carried out on the unique shape parameters of the joined-wing configuration, such as the rear wing sweep angle, the rear wing dihedral angle, the joint location, and the endplate height ratio.
