The NRSC AM & FM Broadcasting (AFAB)Subcommittee provides a venue for discussion and activitiespertaining to analog broadcasting technology. AFABmaintains the existing NRSC-1 and NRSC-2 standards andNRSC-G100 and NRSC-G101 guideline documentspertaining to AM broadcasting. Recently, the subcommitteehas been active in the areas of Modulation-DependentCarrier Level (MDCL) technology implementation for AMbroadcasting and evaluation of Single Sideband SuppressedCarrier (SSB-SC) stereo multiplex technology for FMbroadcasting.
