摘要

The lack of experimental data on HEM molecules is a major key point. Technology to evaluate molecules using cell lines or animal models is well known and adapted to HEM molecules. The REACH legislation from the European Union will reinforce the pressure on industrial groups to deeply understand the cycle of life of their products and the free circulation of substances and to avoid the use of molecules which could have some effects on human health or environment. The use of alternative methods, such as in silico prediction, allows the evaluation of toxicity in different kind of cell lines, enhance the competitiveness and innovation and avoid the suffering on animals. It will probably be the gold standard guidelines for the alternative methods in the future. In silico prediction methods will be used to design HEM molecules, cell lines evaluation to validate successful candidates after synthesis and animal models will be used to qualify at the end some toxicity properties for regulation agency.
