Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge Rehabilitation Challenges

This important facility links Easton, Pa. with Phillipsburg, N.J. Rehabilitation work will extend the useful life by aminimum 15 years and includes major structural work and recoating of seven structures including a 540- footlong Petit Thru Truss. Design and construction challenges were met through collaboration between stakeholders.Work included maintenance of heavy traffic, historic structure aspects, structural steel/gusset plate rehabilitation,painting, masonry repairs, historic iron railings restoration, drainage, deck overlay and aesthetic lighting.
