THE PASSENGER VOLUME OF THE CHENGDU METRO LINE 1 ANALYSIS

Taking the specific condition of the initial operation of the Chengdu Metro Line 1 into consideration, this paper analyzes the prediction of passenger volume systematically and objectively and makes some comments on the method of passenger flow forecast. In terms of operation, we use comparison to analyze the reasons for the differences between the actual passenger flow volume and the prospective one. We point out that the factors which should be taken into consideration should depend on the specific aims of passenger volume prediction. In the end we offer some suggestions in the hope of improving the operation of Chengdu metro company and the methods of passenger flow forecast, expecting that it can provide a reference to the metro operation and construction in the future.
