Core self-evaluations have been widely discussed in order to help understand people's general characteristics and behaviors. Relatively little research has addressed its relationship with learning satisfaction, especially satisfaction in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). In this study, 211 EFL learners were recruited from Yantai University in order to address the issue. Results found that three out of four of core self-evaluations including self-esteem, generalized self-efficacy and internal locus of control, are significantly correlated with students' EFL learning satisfaction. The results also found that core self-evaluations significantly predicted 24.3% of the variance in students' general EFL learning satisfaction.
