It this paper, three different methods for designing the ADS system for a cubesat sized satellite has been described. Furthermore, data from the ADCS system of the AAUSAT3 satellite has been downloaded and analyzed in order to estimate the performance parameters in-orbit for the used sensors. This data has then further been used to perform a set of Monte-Carlo simulations with the described algorithms, and it has been found, that when including all the different uncertainties, the UKF filter is the one which overall gives the best results in terms of the lowest average attitude estimation error.
