Study Intonation: Mobile Environment for Prosody Teaching

Speech prosody - stress, , linking, and intonation - makes speech intelligible and expressive. However, it is also a challenge in language teaching and learning. Speech processing software supporting pitch patterns visualization is a great help for both teachers and learners of prosody. This software must have a user-friendly interface making it a handy tool for prosody teaching practice. We present Study Intonation, that consists of a mobile application and course development toolkit. Study Intonation is meant to facilitate prosody teaching. It can also be used as a research tool in phonology.
