Decision-making in small companies is occasionally done without holding a meeting,whereas in large companies, meetings are always held. Decision-making is faster atsmall companies, but revisions to those decisions are often made. So, totaldecision-making time between small and large companies is comparable. This studyuses a working group within a small company, whose concrete problems are extractedand analyzed along the full decision-making timeline. The company, in the industrialwaste management field, has a new project to recycle drywall. As a result, problemssuch as absent leadership, a lack of meeting documentation, and a lack of expertdecision-makers, were extracted.
