The Basics of the Regulation: concerning the information to be provided by a Transport Provider about the quantity of Carbon Dioxide emitted by the Transport Modes used for the Transport Service

The regulation is consistent with the European standard «Energy consumption and GHG emissions of transport services calculation methodology» which has been published at the beginning of 2013. The regulation refers to article L.1431-3 of the French code for transport which requires every person offering for sale or organizing a transport service of people, goods or a removal firm, to provide information about the quantity of carbon dioxide emitted by the transport modes used for the transport service. The regulation is divided into four parts : Ⅰ. Scope of application Ⅱ. CO2 emissions calculation methods Ⅲ. Issue and display of information Ⅳ. Certification.
