E-learning systems and the application of emerging digital technologies has received wide acceptance all over the world. There are many e-learning systems used in many academic and educational institutions like: Moodle, WebCT, Eduwave, and Renzoli. Some are commercial and some are open source (Ryan et al. 2000). The development of common ethical standards in e-learning environment can support the growth of online education and training. Even those e-learning systems which have widely been used in many universities, but it come with some important issues that have to be tackled [1]. Ethical standardization is an example of these issues, failing to develop ethical standards and procedures in e-learning environment may minimize the effectiveness of e-learning implementations in academic institutions and therefore decrease the value perception of these systems. The main aim of this paper is to work in students' data as part of the privacy ethical issue to propose ethical standards that can protect these data. Establishing common ethical standards in e-learning environment can help in enhancing the effectiveness of these systems.
