Thermal management of electric racing power battery is very important to ensure driving safety. Due to the low management efficiency and poor temperature control effect of traditional thermal management system of power battery, this paper designs a thermal management system of pure electric racing power battery based on phase change heat dissipation. The hardware of the system is mainly composed of the main control module with AT90CAN32 chip as the core and the slave control module with MC9S08DZ75 chip as the core, which provides hardware support for the software part of the system. On the basis of establishing the heat generation rate model of pure electric racing power battery, the thermal management of power battery is realized by using phase change heat dissipation technology, and the system design is completed. The simulation results show that the system can shorten the response time, and can accurately and effectively reduce the temperature of the battery pack to the normal working range, which is reliable.
