The battery (10) has a battery module (10') with a cell stack (1') which is arranged in a module frame (4) and thermally coupled to a heat dissipation device. The module frame has two carrier profiles (4') of thermally conductive material, which are extended to plate heat exchanger (2) pointing over cell stack. The portions of the carrier profiles exceeding over cell stack are received in a ripping region (32) of heat exchanger. A portion of plate heat exchanger facing cell stack contacted the plate heat exchanger is provided in ripping-free region (31).
