Since 1950s, humans have never stopped exploring and utilizing space, the new frontier of survival and development. More than half a century, the space technology has developed dramatically and the space industry has grown rapidly. The space technology has been applied in everyday production and more and more space-related products are enjoyed by common people. Therefore, the space technology has become one of the driving forces of the progress of human civilization. With its unique advantage, the space technology has inuenced and changed the way of people's life and development. At the same time, it has brought huge economic and social bene_ts. It has become an important hallmark that shows a country's technical level and overall strength. China's space program has always adhered to the principle of peaceful development and bene_tting all people; dedicated to exploring space and creating space civilization. China's space program has committed to following the edge technology and leading the development, serving social and economic progress, promoting the overall development of humans and industry, and the harmonious development of industry and environment. This paper will focus on the operation and service of satellite communication in China, mainly introduce China's practices and achievement of using satellite communication to serve society and education, and propose how to better play the advantage of space technology to serve the whole society.
