The first main goal of our approach is to study the connection of a wind generator to a direct current variable load with battery storage. We call the all system a hybrid wind diesel system. This first part of the paper is aimed to validate wind powered section of the experimental system. The experimental system proposed contains: a wind turbine simulator, a permanent magnets generator, a diode bridge rectifier, a step down converter, a bank of battery, a load and a control unit (Fig. 1). An other operation of three-phase, four-wire voltage source inverter (VSI) under unbalanced voltage conditions is investigated.
