Rapid prototyping of configurable interface by means of FPGAs

摘要

A supporting tool for the rapid prototyping and implementation of configurable interfaces for microprocessor-based systems is proposed. This tool consists of a wide library of logic macrofunctions oriented to the configuration of FPGAs devices. Combining FPGAs and the developed library a lot of very efficient interfaces compatible with microprocessors, microcontrollers and DSPs of different manufacturers can be created in a short period of time. The design of the interfaces and its implementation in the FPGA is carried out by means of commercial CAD tools.
