Towards new IMO performance standards for ship borne radar equipment - Part I. Basic requirements

Paper presents the results of work of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Correspondence Group on Radar and presents a draft revised performance standards for ship borne radar equipment. The revised performance standards are based on the input from contributing parties and the results of user surveys and user conferences held in different countries and will be present for acceptance on the nearest session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Safety of Navigation.
