Moment of Memory

Memories often consist of single pieces and sometimes cannot be put together temporally or contextually. Every now and then, you would like to erase your mind or you might wish to experience memories again or in another way. This will be possible with the interactive video installation "Moment of Memory". It was developed as a university art project by Franziska Tachtler with Karin Guminski as supervising lecturer. Super-8-movies combined with videos of today with an imitated super-8-video look are beamed on a vintage picture frame standing on the floor. The viewer can interact with the video by using a small pocket lamp as tangible user interface. He is able to play with the aesthetics of processing functions and super-8-films and to combine them in an individual way.
