Exact Solutions of the Higher Order Nonlinear Schr?dinger Equation

In this paper, we consider the traveling wave solutions for the higher order nonlinear Schro?dinger equation by using the first integral method. It is very interesting that the dark soliton can be obtained, which provides possibilities to study dynamics in nonlinear optics.
