Aiming at optimization economic benefits of plastic film mulching on sunflower, the study investigated the effects of re-used plastic film mulching on sunflower's economic benefit by compared with new plastic film mulching and bare field in Hetao area, China. The results showed that, (1) compared with bare field, the sunflower's yield of re-used film mulching increased 9.6 to 15% significantly (P 0.05). (2) Compared with bare field, the input of re-used film mulching was reduced by 5.6 % to 9.4 %, which was 1.6 % to 6.1% lower than that of new film mulching. (3) The output of re-used film mulching was 9.6% to 18.1% significantly higher than that of bare field and 2.5% to 4.9% lower than that of new film mulching. (4) The net income of re-used film mulching was 22590 RMBha-1 to 26914 RMBha-1, obviously increased by 19.6% to 34.4% than that of open field and 0.6% to 2.4% less than that of new film mulching. (5) The ratio of output to input of re-used film mulching was the highest (2.6-3.0), higher than that of new film and open field. So re-used plastic film mulching had significantly increased the economic benefit which is suitable for extending in Hetao area, China.
