Gameplay of Battle Royale Game by Rules and Actions of Play

摘要

Game genre is not fixed but constantly transformed as it undergoes a process of change. It has been classified according to various criteria. Recently, new genre, 'battle royale' has attracted attention. In order to derive the features of gameplay of battle royale games, this paper sets the rules and actions of play as concrete categories and seeks the possibilities that can be divided into specific genres from the viewpoint of game mechanics. Specific categorization of game play and empirical observational analysis can distinguish playing style clearly. Therefore, it can highlight playability of certain game and contribute to differentiate it from other games.
