If practitioners are to interact with students, there must be a place for the two groups to meet. Traditional, physical locations are now supplemented by virtual locations. This exploration of locations is reinforced by the results of a survey I conducted of technical communication practitioners in 2010. In the survey, practitioners revealed their desired types of contact with students. A suitable match of locations and types of contact could make possible interactions between the two groups.
