This work reports for first time biosynthesis of mannan from thermophilic microorganisms. After the determination of chemical characteristics and rheological properties, the potential of these EPSs in many industries like food, medicine, textiles, detergents, adhesives, microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR), wastewater treatment, dredging, brewing, downstream processing, cosmetology, pharmacology need to be investigated. The real potential of these biopolymers in various industries should be clarified.
