Passenger waiting time at original station and transit time are important parameters to construct a train running network and its matching flow. Passenger waiting time at original station and transit time under uniform distribution of trains are studied by Qualitative analysis when the riding train numbers are fixed and non-fixed, and the corresponding analytical expressions are presented. The results show that: average passenger waiting time is only dependant on train service frequency and maximum waiting duration, and average passenger waiting time decreases with the increase of train service frequency, but the rate of decrease gets smaller and smaller with increasing train service frequency; Organizing mass transit transportation with non-fixed train number can significantly shorten the average waiting time; the average passenger transit time is only dependant on maximum transfer duration and departing train service frequency, and has nothing to do with the number of the arriving train.
