Conventional approach of noise source location for road-bridge noise has been conducted based on multi-point sound pressure measurements, which are used by sound level meters, to identify several main noise sources. By this method, the on-site measurements have to be done near and around possible source to identify them. Therefore, for elevated road bridges it requires the work at high places together with some risks. And it also needs time-consuming data processing, which is proportional to the numbers of measuring point. A case study of new approach and its feasibility of noise source location, as its visualization, to road-bridge noise, are therefore introduced by the phased-array beamforming method to establish the process with physically safety and efficient data processing.
