摘要

The ice-templating technique allows a controlled pore formation within material. On the contrary to foams icecasted ceramics present columnar or lamellar pore channels whose size and shape can be easily tuned. In this study we present the production of ice-templated structures of SiC and Al_2O_3 and the theoretical analysis of their mechanical integrity under irradiation with proton beams. These prototypes are considered as future target materials for radioisotope beam production.
