As a developing countries, there is a popular view that the modem enterprise can be established only based on adopting the Western management models and production methods. The result is that the contemporary Chinese enterprises in general adopt Taylorism management models. However, this article argues that, the problems caused by blindly adopting such models have caused considerable problems in the Chinese corporation context. With the only aim of maximizing profit, managers need to cut costs through applying strict scientific management system and standardized production process. Throughout the production process, employees are regarded as disaggregated parts of a huge machine system, their existence is to serve the machines and system. Employers rely on hierarchical power to establish their authorities and have no social and emotional communion with employees. The employees have not sense of involvement and commitment to the enterprise. This article argues that such rigid management system may lead to negative emotions among employees. When such negative emotions are piled up to a certain limit, the explosion of it may lead to serious damage to both the employees and employers.This article argues that it is essential to introduce ethical management idea to the current management system and to develop new management styles that are suitable for the Chinese local context. Putting people at the first place, stressing the cultivation of morality of leaders and managers, replacing law-like regulations with moral and ethical management, these core thoughts of Confucian school may provide many valuable ideas for us. By absorbing the valuable thoughts from Confucianism way of management, applying in the daily management practices in a critical way, and many positive effects may be achieved.
