Single point incremental forming method was used for irregular hole flanging process.Strain distribution characteristics was discussed and method for pre-cut hole shape design were analyzed.Experimental results show that incremental forming method can be conveniently applied for irregular hole flanging process.The region of smallest radius of convex-arc is the dangerous area.There are three kinds of strain distribution state in this forming process and it's different from conventional flanging process.The method of initial hole shapes design is very easy for this process.There only needs an offset of the pre-cut hole with certain modification at concave-arc region.
