An ISO-compliant e-catalog is generated dedicatedly for 'gears'. This data processing architecture is distinctive in that (a) an ISO-compliant dictionary is compiled, starting from paper catalogs, (b) two generation schemes, one for EXPRESS specification and the other for STEP physical file, are automatized, and (c) this method can be applied to other components, for which ISO-compliant catalog has not yet been attempted.
