The previously developed concept by the Boeing Co. of their Pultruded Rod Stitched Efficient Unitized Structure (PRSEUS) [1 - 4] is subjected to optimization designer material analysis [5 - 16] in order to obtain the best combinations of fiber orientation, number of fibers, stacking sequences, volume fractions, fiber and matrix, material properties, etc. The general elastic and viscoelastic designer material/structures theory was developed in [14] and specialized to PRSEUS type composites in [17]. In order to check out the actual PRSEUS protocol, in the present preliminary study the PRSEUS configuration is modeled as a composite rectangular plate with distributed properties and analyzed under the influence of aerodynamic loads (lift) and cabin pressures leading to bending, tension and in-plane stresses.
