In order to develop the technology for real-time detection of compaction degree from vibratory rollers, a dynamic system model of the vibration drum and the resulting compacted soil was created. The correlation between the vibration acceleration of the drum and the compaction degree of subgrade soil was studied. Based on data from a field test, a relational expression between the vibration acceleration virtual value and the compaction degree was obtained. The results show that there is a significant correlation between the vibration acceleration virtual value and the compaction degree, which can accurately reflect the compaction degree of subgrade soil.
