摘要

Many factors should be considered when numerical optimization is applied to design of tower column of cable-stayed bridge. In the paper, the design variables, restraint conditions and objective function are ascertained, then the general mathematical model of optimization design is founded, and a calculation example is analyzed. The analysis indicates that the results of optimization with the mathematical model and FEM method can meet certain precision of engineering.
